The Marin Chapter of Citizens Climate Lobby will be hosting a Chasing Coral showing next Sunday, October 29, 3-6:30 PM at 32Ten Studios in San Rafael.
With Special Guests: Real Coral Scientists!
Rebecca Albright, Ph.D., Assistant Curator, Invertebrate Zoology and Geology, California Academy of Sciences, focuses on the capacity of marine organisms to cope with changing environmental conditions, such as ocean acidification and warming.
Erika Woolsey, Ph.D., is a coral reef ecologist, teacher and CEO of The Hydrous, a San Francisco based nonprofit using expeditions, technology and education to create 'open access oceans' so that all people may explore, understand and engage with marine environments that are threatened by climate change and human impacts.
Our two guest scientists and two steering committee members will discuss the movie, answer your questions, and briefly focus on why corals would love CCL's proposal and strategy for effective carbon pricing. Find out more at CitizensClimateLobby.org
